How does a weslo cadence dx15 treadmill start?

Can you answer joanna p’s question about Treadmill?:
I just got a used weslo cadence dx15 treadmill. I am trying to stat the treadmill with the safety key and it is doing nothing. I know that On my moms old treadmill she had when I was younger you had to wait a few moments after sticking the safety key in the slot for the treadmill to warm up and go. Is that the same situation with this model or do you think its broken?

Treadmill Feedback: Is the display lighting up when you put in the safety key? If not, you should check to see if the treadmill is switched off at the base. Look for a switch near where the power cord goes into the base of the treadmill and try switching it (make sure the safety key is not in the treadmill when you do this).
