What is a good treadmill workout for beginners?

It depends on what you are working for --
weight loss or just a cardio workout. A
treadmill is usually meant for running or
jogging according to the person's preferred
speed.
Generally, the following is a good routine....
Always do a warm-up for about 10 mins that
doesn't get your heart rate up too much (over
60% of your regular rate). Then, you will
want to speed up till you are maintaining a
70% to 80% increase in your heart rate. Stay
at that rate for one minute, then go back
down to your warm up rate for 2 minutes. Do
this about 10 times.
Do not keep the treadmill on an angle until
you are comfortable running at a moderate
speed for atleast 20-30 minutes.
