How many hours or miles should I exercise on my treadmill?

Answered By Editor

It all depends on your goals and what you hope to achieve with your workout. It is recommended that you get at least 45 minutes to an hour of aerobic exercise a day. If you are in weight training or trying to lose weight you will want to increase this to two hours a day, for at least five days a week. Remember that it is best to combine exercise with eating right in order to reduce your weight.

For the treadmill, the recommended time is 30 minutes a day, at least three days a week. Get even better results by walking on my treadmill for an hour with one-pound weights in each hand, at least three days a week. A good steady walk gets your heart rate going with the added weights.
