How do you make yourself get up and run on the boring treadmill?
Answered By Editor
There are many things you can do to motivate
yourself. I have placed two pictures on my
bathroom mirror one is of me right now, not a
flattering picture, while the second is of me
when I was much smaller. My goal is to lose
weight and by having to see this picture
every day I am motivated to get on my
treadmill. You can also do things to make the
time go by, listen to music, watch television
and just remember you are working towards a goal.
Here's an interesting idea sent in by one of
our readers. She said her final motivation
is that when she loses weight she rewards
herself with a shopping spree. The money for
the shopping spree comes as a gift from her
husband. Everyday that she works out she
gets $5.00 from her husband to go in her
clothes shopping fund. It may not sound like
much, but overtime it adds up and she is
rewarded with a wonderful shopping spree.
You could do the same. The money wouldn't
have to come from your spouse. Rather, it
could simply be money you put into a shopping
spree reward fund, even an envelope that
would get bigger over time.
Another reader says she thinks about the way
she WILL look, once she gets slimmer. Plus,
there is the healthier lifestyle to which you
get to look forward.
